WatchLayer Security

Terms of Service

Last updated October 2026

These Terms govern access to and use of the WatchLayer Security website, accounts, subscriptions, and cloud security services.

Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the WatchLayer Security website and services. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using WatchLayer services, you agree to these Terms.

If you use WatchLayer on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

WatchLayer Services

WatchLayer provides cloud security visibility, prioritized security findings, security context, guidance, and security history for supported cloud environments.

Supported providers, resources, checks, integrations, and capabilities may differ by cloud provider and may change as WatchLayer is updated.

WatchLayer currently offers subscription plans based on the number of cloud environments that may be connected under the applicable plan.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating and maintaining a WatchLayer account and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account and authentication credentials.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account and should notify WatchLayer if you believe your account has been accessed or used without authorization.

You may not use another person's or organization's account without authorization.

Cloud Environment Access

WatchLayer uses controlled access designed to limit cloud permissions to those needed for supported WatchLayer functions. Required permissions and connection methods may differ among AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and other supported providers.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have authority to connect each cloud account, subscription, project, or other environment to WatchLayer and to authorize the permissions required for the service.

You remain responsible for your cloud environments, configurations, accounts, resources, security controls, remediation decisions, and actions taken in response to WatchLayer findings or guidance.

Security Information and Findings

WatchLayer provides security information intended to help customers identify, understand, prioritize, and respond to security conditions within supported cloud environments.

Findings, classifications, context, and guidance should be evaluated in light of your own environment, business requirements, risk tolerance, compliance obligations, and security processes.

WatchLayer does not guarantee that it will identify, detect, prevent, or remediate every vulnerability, misconfiguration, threat, compromise, attack, security condition, or security incident.

WatchLayer should not be used as the sole basis for security, compliance, legal, operational, or risk-management decisions.

Subscription Plans

WatchLayer offers paid subscription plans with the pricing, billing interval, and cloud-environment limits displayed during purchase.

The Starter plan supports one cloud environment, the Business plan supports up to three cloud environments, and the Advanced plan supports up to five cloud environments.

WatchLayer may offer additional or custom coverage separately. Current pricing and plan information is presented on the WatchLayer Pricing page and during checkout.

Billing and Payment

Subscription fees are charged according to the plan and billing interval selected during checkout. WatchLayer currently offers monthly and annual billing options for its standard public subscription plans.

Payments are processed through a third-party payment processor. You authorize the applicable charges associated with the subscription you select.

You are responsible for providing valid payment information and for applicable charges associated with your subscription.

Taxes, if applicable, may be handled as required by applicable law and the payment or billing process.

Automatic Renewal

Paid subscriptions automatically renew for additional periods matching the selected billing interval unless canceled before the applicable renewal.

By maintaining a paid subscription, you authorize recurring charges for the applicable subscription fees until the subscription is canceled.

Cancellation

You may cancel a WatchLayer subscription at any time. Unless otherwise required by applicable law or stated during the cancellation process, cancellation prevents future renewal and paid service remains available through the end of the period for which payment has already been made.

Cancellation of a subscription does not necessarily result in immediate deletion of the WatchLayer account, cloud security history, or other information associated with the account.

Refunds

Except where required by applicable law or expressly agreed by WatchLayer in writing, subscription payments are non-refundable and WatchLayer does not provide prorated refunds or credits for partially used billing periods.

Failed or Unpaid Renewals

If a renewal payment fails or an amount remains unpaid, WatchLayer may restrict or suspend access to paid service capabilities while payment remains unresolved.

WatchLayer may restore paid service access after payment is successfully completed and the subscription returns to an eligible status.

A failed renewal does not, by itself, require immediate deletion of the customer's WatchLayer account or security history.

Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your own accounts, credentials, cloud environments, devices, systems, and administrative access.

You must not provide WatchLayer with access to environments, accounts, information, or resources that you do not have authority to connect, access, or provide.

You are responsible for reviewing WatchLayer findings and guidance and determining whether and how to remediate identified security conditions.

You must use WatchLayer in compliance with applicable law and may not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, probe or circumvent security controls, or use WatchLayer to harm another person or organization.

Service Changes and Availability

WatchLayer may update, maintain, modify, add, or remove features, checks, integrations, supported resources, or other portions of the service as the platform develops and changes.

WatchLayer may suspend or restrict portions of the service when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, technical, operational, billing, legal, or business reasons.

Unless WatchLayer expressly agrees otherwise in writing, no specific uptime or service-level commitment is provided.

Third-Party Services

WatchLayer connects with or depends on third-party platforms and services, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, payment processors, and other technology providers.

Third-party services are governed by their own terms, policies, pricing, security practices, functionality, and availability. WatchLayer does not control those third-party services and is not responsible for changes or interruptions originating from them.

Privacy and Data

Use of WatchLayer involves the collection and processing of information as described in the WatchLayer Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring that information and cloud environments you provide or connect to WatchLayer may lawfully be provided or connected.

Data retention and deletion may vary based on the type of information, subscription or account status, security requirements, legitimate business needs, contractual obligations, and applicable law.

Intellectual Property

The WatchLayer Security name, branding, website, software, interfaces, documentation, graphics, and other original materials are owned by WatchLayer or its licensors unless otherwise indicated.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of WatchLayer intellectual property to you.

Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable subscription fees, WatchLayer grants customers a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the service for their internal business purposes during an eligible subscription period.

Feedback

If you voluntarily provide suggestions, ideas, or feedback about WatchLayer, WatchLayer may use that feedback to evaluate or improve its products and services without an obligation to compensate you, subject to applicable law.

Suspension and Termination

WatchLayer may suspend or terminate access to the service when reasonably necessary because of nonpayment, material violation of these Terms, misuse of the service, security risk, unlawful activity, or other circumstances requiring suspension or termination to protect WatchLayer, its customers, or others.

The handling and retention of account information following cancellation, suspension, or termination may depend on the reason for termination, applicable contractual requirements, legitimate security or business needs, and applicable law.

Disclaimers

WatchLayer is intended to assist with cloud security visibility and risk management. Security outcomes depend on many factors outside WatchLayer's control.

To the extent permitted by applicable law and except as expressly provided in a written agreement, WatchLayer does not guarantee that the website or services will be uninterrupted or error-free or that every security condition, vulnerability, misconfiguration, threat, compromise, or incident will be identified.

Nothing provided through WatchLayer constitutes legal advice, and use of WatchLayer does not by itself establish compliance with any law, regulation, standard, framework, or contractual requirement.

Changes to These Terms

WatchLayer may update these Terms as its services, business operations, legal obligations, or commercial practices change.

Updates will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date. Where required by applicable law, WatchLayer will provide additional notice of material changes.
